Helena Geilinger is a writer and arts producer based in London. Her work combines autofiction, theory and journalism, exploring contemporary culture with sharp humour and incisive observations about everyday life.


Currently at Somerset House in London, she has worked with creative institutions in Melbourne, Berlin and Liverpool. After completing an MA in Art, Aesthetics & Cultural Institutions, she founded RE:WRITE, an ongoing research project and event series dedicated to enhancing public understanding of online infrastructures and new technologies.

 

Helena’s writing practice centres around food, the body and digital culture, with ongoing projects featured on international platforms – most recently Worms Magazine. She has produced artworks and films with Sin Wai Kin, Rashaad Newsome and Keiken and interviewed Wayne McGregor, Sophia Al-Maria and Malik Nashad Sharpe. She has edited writing by Imani Mason Jordan, Julia Kaganskiy and Rianna Jade Parker and continues freelance editorial commissions.
